Do I really only pay once?

Yes. The $50 signup fee is a one-time payment for lifetime distribution. There will never again be a charge. There are no annual fees, renewals, or recurring charges to keep your music online.

Can I release unlimited music?

Yes. After you pay the signup fee, you can release singles, EPs, and albums through Chance Recordings without paying per release.

What does “lifetime distribution” mean?

It means your music stays live on streaming platforms permanently, even years from now. You don’t have to keep paying to maintain your catalog, and your releases won’t be removed if you stop submitting new music.

Do you take any ownership or rights to my music?

No.
You keep 100% ownership of your masters and compositions. Chance Recordings does not take rights, publishing, or control of your music—ever.

Which platforms will my music be on?

Your music will be distributed to all major platforms, including:

• Spotify
• Apple Music
• Deezer
• Tidal
• Amazon Music
• YouTube Music

(And all other global digital stores and streaming services.)

How do pre-saves and smart links work?

We create free smart links and pre-save campaigns for your releases so fans can save your music ahead of time on Spotify, Apple Music, and Deezer. This helps boost first-day engagement and long-term discoverability.

Do you help with playlist placement?

Yes. We pitch your music to relevant editorial and independent playlists. While playlist placement can never be guaranteed, we make sure your releases are properly positioned for discovery.

How does YouTube monetization work?

We partner with YouTube to help ensure your music is properly managed and monetized when used on the platform, so you don’t miss out on revenue opportunities.

Will my music be available on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook?

Yes. Your music will be available in  Reels, Stories, and posts, allowing fans (and you) to use your songs in social content and help spread your music organically.

When and how do I get paid?

• Royalties are paid monthly
• Payouts are issued once you reach a $10 minimum threshold
• You’ll have access to clear earnings reports so you always know what you’re making

Can I leave if I want to?

Yes. There are no contracts locking you in. You’re free to move on at any time—and you still keep ownership of your music.

Is this too good to be true?

We get that question a lot. Our model is simple by design: one fair price, long-term value, and artist ownership. We believe artists shouldn’t have to keep paying just to exist on streaming platforms.
